Signalling Section

The members of this section have been of considerable utility as

Signallers & Field Telephoniste on Field Days & on the Rifle Range.

Eight members of the Xxiian Scouts Company received instruction in

"tapping in" with field telephones for use when patrolling the

Section allotted to the Company in the Defence Scheme.

Cadet CompSEY

This unit now numbers one officer and 59 cadeta.

Drills and Field Days have been held regularly and the boya webe

instructed in swimming during the summer months.

The Annual Camp was held at Fan Ling from let.to 10th. January 1916

inclusive, during which the Hospital duties were undertaken by lady

members of the V.A.D. St.John's Arbulance Association, Mrs.Churchill

acting as matron. The Camp was visited by Lady Hay, Commandant

of the V.A.D. on 7th January,

The work of the Cadets in Camp was inspected by the Commandant on

7th January.

The Annual inspection of the Company was held on 18th. Karch by

the Commandant, who expressed his satisfaction with the appearance,

drill and discipline of the bays.

Mobilization

The Corps is still mobilized under Proclamation by H.E. the

Governor, A guard of one Officer and 27 N.C.0's and men was

maintained at the Frisoners of War Camp and an in-lying picket of

One Officer and 24 1.0.0's and men at Gun Club Hill from 15.5.15

to 17.1.16. The guard and in-lying picket were found alternately

by the Hongkong Volunteer Corps and Reserves. ▲ guard of one N.0.0.and 3 men was found from dusk to dawn at Tai Ho Wan, by the

H.K.7.C.and Reserves alternately, from 21.1.16.to 20.3.16. A guard

of one F.C.0. & 6 men has been maintained, by the H.K.V.C. and Žest

Reserves alternately,nightly over the Wireless Station on stone-

outters Island from 21.1.16.

Musketry

All unite with the exception of the Stretcher Bearer Section have

been put through the Kusketry Course laid down for Infantry,
